Help dogs in need
Not every dog gets a ribbon. If this game has you thinking about dogs, here are some places to adopt one or help the people who look after them.
Adopt a dog
AKC Rescue Network →Rescue groups organized by breed. A good place to start if you fell for a breed while making your picks.Petfinder →Search adoptable dogs from shelters and rescues near you.Adopt a Pet →Another way to search adoptable dogs near you.Best Friends Animal Society →A national animal welfare group with adoption listings.
Support a rescue
Charity Navigator: Support Animal Rescue →Four-star US charities that rescue and rehome companion animals. You can give to them directly from the list.Global Federation of Animal Sanctuaries →Find accredited sanctuaries. Many care for horses and exotic animals, so there are fewer dog shelters here.Pasado's Safe Haven →An accredited, dog-focused sanctuary in Monroe, Washington.
These are independent organizations. Fantasy Dog League isn't affiliated with them and doesn't earn anything from these links. Check that a group is right for you before you adopt or give.
