Who we are

Fantasy Dog League (the website at fantasydogleague.com and the iPhone app) is run by Soglia Ventures LLC of Irvine, California. "We" and "us" mean Soglia Ventures LLC. By creating an account or using the service, you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the service.

Who can play

You must be at least 13 years old to use Fantasy Dog League. If we learn that a child under 13 has created an account, we'll delete it.

The service, and what it costs

Fantasy Dog League is a free game for fans of dog shows. You pick breeds, and your picks earn points based on real results. There is no entry fee.

You can choose to chip in on our website to help keep the game running. It's optional and doesn't change anything in the game. Payments go to Soglia Ventures LLC and are handled by our payment provider. We aren't a charity, so they aren't tax-deductible. If something looks wrong with a payment, contact us. If we add anything else paid, we'll update these terms first.

No prizes and no gambling

We don't award prizes. Points, ribbons, ranks and standings have no monetary value and can't be exchanged for anything of value. Fantasy Dog League is not gambling, and you may not use it for gambling. You may not run cash pools or side bets through the service, including through league names, invitations or chat.

Your account

Give accurate information, keep access to your email or sign-in account secure, and tell us if you think someone else has used your account. You're responsible for what happens under your account.

League chat, display names and conduct

We have zero tolerance for abusive or objectionable content. That covers chat messages, display names and league names. Friendly rivalry is welcome, but you may not:

• harass, threaten or demean anyone, or post hateful or sexual content;
• impersonate someone, or post another person's private information;
• post spam, or anything illegal or that infringes someone else's rights;
• interfere with the service, or try to get around its security.

You can report a message or block a person from league chat. We may remove content and suspend or close accounts that break these rules, and we may do so without notice.

Content you post

What you post stays yours. You give us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to store, display and share it as needed to run the service, such as showing your messages to your league. The license ends when the content or your account is deleted, except where we need to keep a copy to review a report or meet a legal duty. You're responsible for what you post, and for having the right to post it.

Our content and copyright

The service, including its name, crest, design, text and software, belongs to Soglia Ventures LLC or its licensors and is protected by copyright and other laws. Breed photos are used under the licenses listed on our Photo credits page. You may use the service to play the game, but you may not copy, resell or scrape it.

If you believe something on the service infringes your copyright, including a notice under the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA), send the details to hello@fantasydogleague.com.

We're independent

Fantasy Dog League is independent and is not affiliated with or endorsed by the AKC, the Westminster Kennel Club, the National Dog Show or any broadcaster. Their names are used only to refer to their shows.

Results, scoring and standings

We enter show results by hand, so they can have errors or arrive late. We may correct results and scoring at any time, and standings may change when we do.

The National Dog Show is taped before it airs, so results can be public before the broadcast. Picks for that show close at noon Eastern on Thanksgiving and use an honor system: please don't look up the results before you pick.

No warranties

We provide the service "as is" and "as available." To the extent the law allows, we make no warranties of any kind, including that the service will always be available, free of errors, or that results and standings will be accurate or on time.

Limits on our liability

To the extent the law allows, Soglia Ventures LLC won't be liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages, or for lost data or lost profits, arising from your use of the service or from what other players post. Some places don't allow these limits, so they may not all apply to you.

Deleting your account

You can delete your account at any time from the Account page on the website or from the app. Deleting your account permanently removes your profile, picks, scores, league memberships and chat messages. See our Privacy Policy for details.

Changes to these terms

If we change these terms, we'll update the date above, and tell you in the app or by email if the change is significant. If you keep using the service after a change, you accept the new terms.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to its conflict of law rules.
